Wolcen has better combat, but not by much. Story is hard to compare as we only have 9 chapters (out of 12) for Last Epoch (still in beta), whereas Wolcen is already released. Wolcen has the best graphics in the genre, hands down. Character customization is better in Last Epoch with each skill having it's own passive tree.
Wolcen is more about killing stuff with a lot of eye-candy for you to stare at. The combat for me is the main drawing point, even though some people say it's clunky (you can't cancel an action, so it is more skill demanding than just pressing buttons, you actually have to dodge stuff to stay alive no matter what, worry about positioning).Wolcen is a fun game, but lacks any reasonable endgame. The great thing about wolcen's combat system (had completely forgotten this as a big pro) is you pick 5 skills (latesr unlock 6) and use them all fairly actively due to the cooldown and energy system .
